Getting Rolling

  • If your dog has never attended a group play session at CKPR your dog will be required to go through our behavioral/temperament test, and you will be required to fill out the Daycare Contract.
  • All dogs must complete a *daycare evaluation, this includes and initial consultation and tour. The tour typically take about 10 to 20 minutes. We then ask that you leave your dog with us for at least 3 hours. During this time, we will spend time with your dog, assessing their personality and introducing them to a range of activities to see what they enjoy, prior to participation in group play. Monday – Friday all Daycare dogs must be in facility by 8:30 am to go out in the morning group.
All dogs visiting or staying at the resort must be at least 16 weeks old and current on the following: Rabies (1 or 3 year protocol)

  • Distemper Combo
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough) -Please be aware that the Bordetella vaccine takes several days to be effective, so we recommend that dogs receive their vaccines at least 5 days before attending Central Kentucky Pet Resort.
  • All guests must be free of fleas
We ask that you have your vet fax us the proof of the vaccines. For privacy reasons, most veterinarians in the area will not provide vaccines directly to Central Kentucky Pet Resort. Therefore, you will need to be responsible for ensuring that we receive current vaccine records for your dog. If you are unsure if we have your dog’s current vaccine records on file, you can either check your on-line account or call us.

Your pet’s health and happiness is our number one concern. Should an issue arise you will be notified as soon as possible. Central Kentucky Pet Resort cannot prevent injuries and accidents 100%. While accidents and injuries can occur at any time, there is a greater risk of an accident or injury if a dog participates in group play. Our group play is well staffed, and our playroom supervisors receive training beyond industry standards, but they are working with live animals that can be unpredictable. Central Kentucky Pet Resort is not responsible for any illnesses or injuries that may occur while your pet is in our care.
