Got Questions?

Our lobby is open 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday. On Sunday the lobby is open from 9am-3pm.
CKPR does observe the following holidays and the lobby will be closed these days:

  • New Years Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

You can pick up or drop off any time the lobby is open.

Daycare Dogs may be dropped off or picked up from 5:00 am to 7:00 am or 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm for daycare package holders only (see a manager for details.) For safety and security reasons you must call prior to pick up after 7:00 pm as our doors lock at 7:00 pm and our employees are not authorized to open the doors for any reason other than emergencies. Therefore, dogs that are not picked up by 9:00 pm will board with us until the next day and the owner will be responsible for the boarding fees.

Boarding dogs and cats may be picked up and dropped off anytime our lobby is open Monday – Saturday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Sunday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. If you wish to pick up your animals after our lobby has closed you must call ahead during normal lobby hours request after hours pick up and pay your bill in full. We will then have your animals ready to go at the time you wish to pick up. Just call when you arrive.

Our doors will remain locked for safety and security concerns until the next business day and time.

No, we do not have any breed restrictions.

No, your pet does not have to be spayed or neutered to be boarded here.  However, females in heat will not be permitted in group play.

We recommend that you bring your dog’s own food when boarding. Continuing on their own food helps them avoid digestion issues that can result from switching food.  If you do bring your dog’s food, please be sure to bring it in a resealable container such as zip lock bags or plastic containers with lids. If you do not bring your dog’s own food, we provide a dry “house” food that your dog can eat at $3.00 per meal charge.  Our house food is Science Diet.  If your dog runs out of food, we will feed them our house food unless other arrangements are made.

We provide raised beds for the dogs that are boarding with us in the deluxe suites only, so it is necessary to bring bedding if you have it.

Feel free to bring two or three toys if you think it will make your dog more comfortable. We want your pet to be as comfortable with us as he/she is at home, so if you feel it makes him/her comfortable please bring it along.

There are several ways to get signed up at the resort! You can call us anytime during regular lobby hours and we’ll get you all set up, you can stop by to fill out paperwork, or you can click the new customer online registration form under the forms tab.

We ask that all of our guests provide us a copy of their vaccination records. Your veterinarian should provide you a copy at each visit. Should you be unable to locate it, please contact your veterinarian directly to provide us the vaccination proof.

Click the “camera login” button on the top right of the screen. You will need a username and password to log in. Please contact the resort directly if you did not receive this information at check-in, or have misplaced it.

All canine boarders receive three potty breaks a day included in the room rate. For pups that require more frequent trips, additional potty breaks are available for a fee.

If your dog is taking any medications, be sure to bring them in the original bottle.  This is a state requirement and it ensures that we can provide accurate information to a veterinarian in the event of an emergency.  It is helpful if you can provide clear written instructions for administering your dog’s medications.  Central Kentucky Pet Resort does not charge an additional fee for administering medications unless your dog is taking five or more medications.

Yes, we have professional on-site grooming available. Please let us know at check-in if you would like your pet to receive some pampering prior to pick-up.

All dogs that attend Central Kentucky Pet Resort must be at least 16 weeks old and remain current on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordetella vaccines.

Our daycare is an “all day play” structure whereas day boarding is in a private suite. Daycare dogs are in a playgroup for the duration of their stay.

If you want your dog to be able to play with other dogs, you can add on a group playtime where they will get to play with others for at least 2 hours. Group play comes free with a deluxe room and can be added on in a standard.

No. Our cats enjoy a private room in the front of the facility, far away from the pups.

It depends! Our playgroups are very flexible depending on the dogs in attendance that day. We do our best to place dogs in a playgroup that best suits their personality. Information provided to us on the Pet Personality Profile will assist us in getting to know your pup and finding the best fit.
